Brayden is still doing well sleeping on his own. Since this past Sunday night, he has fallen asleep, and slept all night in his own room by himself. He's like a different kid. It's been amazing for us to watch him master the skill of sleeping on his own and being OK being by himself for a while. Every morning this week, I've woke up to Brayden talking to himself in his room. No crying, screaming or fussing. He wakes up, sits up on his bed and talks to himself. He has become VERY attached to his blanket and seems to feel comfortable so long as blanket is there with him. The crazy thing is that this blanket was my baby blanket from 27 years ago! It's very broken-in I guess you could say. (and loved!) We've bought him his own blanket to have - plus the millions you get from everyone when a new baby is born. But this is the only one that he seems to want.
This has been one of the best weeks we have had in a long time. Everyone feels rested and we aren't constantly fighting with Brayden about going to sleep anymore. I think that all around, this change has made huge improvements in our family life as well. Now if we could just get some nice weather and be able to go outside and play - life would be perfect!
